G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #324

G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #324, published in 2024, represents the continuation of Larry Hama’s legendary tenure writing the G.I. Joe series. This issue is part of the revival series originally published by Skybound Entertainment in partnership with Hasbro, picking up the numbering from the long-running Marvel Comics and IDW iterations. The series aims to maintain the continuity and tone established in the 1980s, preserving the distinct character dynamics and military-science fiction aesthetic that defined the franchise for decades.

The creative direction for this modern iteration focuses on honoring the legacy of the original ARAH run while utilizing contemporary printing techniques and cover art styles. As with much of the series, the visual storytelling emphasizes the classic G.I. Joe character archetypes, designed to resonate with longtime readers and collectors of the ARAH brand. Reception has remained focused on the preservation of the series' historical continuity and the consistency of Hama's narrative voice within the evolving landscape of comic book publishing.
