Go Girl! #3

Go Girl! is a superhero comic book series created by writer Trina Robbins and artist Anne Timmons, first published by Image Comics in 2003. The series was designed as an all-ages title intended to offer a refreshing, lighthearted alternative to the gritty, dark aesthetics that dominated much of the mainstream comic market at the time. It follows the story of Lindsay Goldman, a teenager who balances high school life with her duties as a costumed heroine, echoing the classic coming-of-age tropes popularized during the Silver Age of comics.

The third issue continues the adventures of Lindsay as she navigates interpersonal drama alongside her superpowered responsibilities. Anne Timmons' clean, kinetic illustrative style was specifically chosen to emphasize the character's energetic and relatable nature, drawing inspiration from the retro-modern aesthetic of the early 2000s. The series was well-received by critics and readers alike, praised for providing accessible, empowering stories for younger readers and those nostalgic for a more optimistic era of superhero fiction.
