Gōkon ni Ittara Onna ga Inakatta Hanashi #11

Gōkon ni Ittara Onna ga Inakatta Hanashi, created by manga artist Nana Aokawa, began its serialization on the Pixiv platform and Twitter in 2020. The series originated as a lighthearted exploration of social anxiety and gender expectations, following a group of male college students who attend a group date, or 'gōkon,' only to find the attendees are not who they expected. Volume 11 serves as a late-stage installment in this long-running narrative, which has gained significant traction for its comedic timing and character development.

Aokawa’s design philosophy focuses on clean, expressive line work that emphasizes the nuanced, often bashful reactions of the protagonists. The series has been well-received for its gentle subversion of rom-com tropes and its ability to maintain a consistent tone across a high volume of chapters. Volume 11 continues this trajectory, reflecting the series' established aesthetic while moving the interpersonal dynamics between the core cast forward.
