Gōkon ni Ittara Onna ga Inakatta Hanashi #8

Gōkon ni Ittara Onna ga Inakatta Hanashi, created by manga artist Nana Aokawa, began its serialization in 2021 via the Pixiv platform before finding a home in Square Enix's Gangan Online. The series follows a group of university students who attend a mixer expecting to meet women, only to find three handsome, cross-dressing men waiting for them. The narrative subverts traditional romantic comedy tropes by focusing on the humorous and heart-warming misunderstandings that arise from the characters' evolving gender expressions and interpersonal dynamics.

The eighth volume continues the established art style, which balances character-driven comedy with expressive, clean line work that emphasizes the dual identities of the protagonists. Aokawa designed the series to explore themes of identity and camaraderie, and it has been well-received by readers for its lighthearted approach to complex social interactions. The publication of the eighth volume serves as a milestone in the series' ongoing success as it navigates the group's transition from casual acquaintances into closer, more complicated friendships.
