Harley Quinn #22

Harley Quinn #22 was published by DC Comics in 2017 as part of the Rebirth era, a line-wide initiative intended to return DC characters to their core identities while building on established continuity. Written by Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti, this issue continued their long-running, irreverent, and chaotic characterization of Harley Quinn. The story explores the protagonist's fractured psyche and her unconventional life in Coney Island, balancing dark humor with the vibrant, hyperbolic aesthetic that defined this particular iteration of the series.

The interior art was provided by John Timms, whose work on the series is noted for its fluid character expression and dynamic panel layouts, while the cover art was designed by Amanda Conner, a longtime collaborator on the title. The issue was received as a typical entry in the Palmiotti-Conner run, which successfully pivoted Harley Quinn from a sidekick into a fully realized, anti-heroic lead character. It stands as a representative example of the stylistic blend of slapstick comedy and mature themes that dominated Harley Quinn comics during the mid-2010s.
