Hate Me, But Let Me Stay #7

Hate Me, But Let Me Stay is an independent, small-press comic series that emerged from the vibrant underground zine culture of the late 2010s. Created and illustrated by the artist known as P.H. Mallow, the series is characterized by its stark, emotive ink-wash style and introspective, non-linear storytelling. Issue #7 continues the series' overarching focus on the complexities of interpersonal fragility and urban isolation, utilizing a minimalist aesthetic that prioritizes atmospheric tension over traditional action-oriented panels.

The design of issue #7 reflects the series' commitment to tactile, lo-fi production values, often incorporating textured paper stocks and monochromatic color palettes to emphasize the somber tone of the narrative. Mallow’s work has garnered a dedicated following within contemporary zine circles, where it is frequently cited for its raw vulnerability and refusal to adhere to standard superhero or genre tropes. It is regarded by collectors of modern independent comics as a definitive example of the self-published 'confessional' comic movement.
