Himaten! #10

Himaten! is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Genki Ono, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump starting in 2024. The series follows the life of a high school student who navigates the complexities of teenage social structures and academic pressures, blending elements of slice-of-life drama with the traditional energy of the shonen genre. It emerged as part of the magazine’s ongoing initiative to foster new talent and diversify its portfolio with contemporary, character-driven narratives.

Ono’s design and illustrative style for the series focus on expressive character work and dynamic layouts that capture the fast-paced, often chaotic nature of student life. As the series progressed into its tenth issue, it solidified its place within the weekly publication cycle, receiving feedback from readers who appreciate its balance of humor and relatable emotional stakes. The work is regarded as a notable entry in modern shonen manga, reflecting current trends in digital and print-based storytelling.
