Himaten! #7

Himaten! is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Genki Ono, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump starting in 2024. The series follows the life of Kagari Himaten, a protagonist who navigates the complexities of high school life and personal growth. The title is characterized by its blend of traditional shonen action tropes with grounded character-driven storytelling, aiming to appeal to a younger demographic interested in high-stakes social and athletic competition.

The seventh issue of the series continues the established artistic style of Ono, which emphasizes expressive character designs and dynamic action sequences that have become hallmarks of modern Jump titles. As part of the ongoing weekly serialization, this issue serves to advance the central narrative arc, reflecting the rigorous production cycle of the magazine. Since its debut, the series has been noted for its contemporary setting and the specific creative direction of Ono, who has sought to distinguish the work through its pacing and thematic focus on ambition.
