Isekai Yururi Kikou - Kosodate Shinagara Boukensha Shimasu #1

Isekai Yururi Kikou - Kosodate Shinagara Boukensha Shimasu, known in English as A Journey Through Another World: Raising Kids While Adventuring, began as a light novel series written by Shizuru Minazuki. The narrative follows Kayano Takumi, a man who is accidentally killed by a god and reincarnated into another world, where he discovers two young children in a forest and decides to raise them while working as an adventurer. The series is part of the broader Isekai, or 'another world,' genre, which gained significant traction in Japanese web fiction platforms during the 2010s before being adapted into print.

The first volume of the light novel was published in Japan in 2017, featuring illustrations by Yamato Yamaka. The design and artistic direction prioritize a gentle, slice-of-life aesthetic that distinguishes the work from the high-stakes action typically found in similar fantasy series. The story was well-received for its focus on domestic themes and the protective relationship between the protagonist and his wards, leading to a manga adaptation and eventually an anime series, which further solidified the franchise's presence in contemporary fantasy media.
