Jigsaw #1

Jigsaw #1, published by Marvel Comics in 1991, serves as the debut of the eponymous villain in his own limited series. The character, a disfigured mobster and primary antagonist to the Punisher, was originally created by Len Wein and Ross Andru in 1976. This series was conceived to expand upon the lore of the Punisher’s rogue's gallery during the height of the character's popularity in the early 1990s.

The series was written by Jonathan Hensleigh, who brought a gritty, cinematic sensibility to the scripting, and illustrated by Mike Harris. The design and narrative tone were heavily influenced by the noir-inspired, hyper-violent aesthetic of the era’s vigilante comics.
