Justice League America #85

Justice League America #85 was published in early 1994 as part of the DC Comics line. This specific issue arrived during a transitional period for the publisher, following the highly publicized events of the Death of Superman and Knightfall storylines. The issue serves as a piece of the Bloodlines crossover event, which was an ambitious, line-wide initiative designed to introduce a wave of new metahuman characters into the DC Universe by having them emerge after attacks from a group of alien parasites.

The issue was written by Dan Vado with artwork by Marc Campos. The creative team aimed to integrate the Justice League into the broader Bloodlines narrative, focusing on the team's efforts to contain the chaos caused by the invaders. The design and visual storytelling reflect the grittier, high-action aesthetic characteristic of 1990s comic book illustration, emphasizing dynamic character layouts and the dramatic stakes that defined the era's ongoing team-based titles.
