Justice League Europe #45

Justice League Europe #45 was published by DC Comics in December 1992 as the concluding chapter of the series. The title itself originated in 1989 as a spin-off of the highly successful Justice League International, aiming to establish a team of superheroes based in Europe to handle global threats. By the time this final issue arrived, the series had undergone various shifts in creative direction, reflecting the broader transition within the DC Universe during the early 1990s as the industry moved toward grittier storytelling and major crossover events.

The issue was written by Sholly Fisch and illustrated by Eduardo Barreto, who brought a clean, grounded aesthetic to the team's final mission. As a swan song for the series, the narrative focused on wrapping up the team’s dynamics rather than launching a new arc, serving as a quiet resolution for characters like Metamorpho and the Crimson Fox. While the series eventually paved the way for future European-based team concepts, this specific issue is remembered primarily as the definitive end of the initial JLE run, marking the close of a unique era in the Justice League's history.
