Kaminaki Sekai no Kamisama Katsudō, known in English as KamiKatsu: Working for God in a Godless World, is a manga series written by Aoi Akashiro and illustrated by Hangetsuban Sonshō. It began serialization in Monthly Hero's magazine in 2019 before moving to the Comiplex website. The series explores themes of religion and bureaucracy through the narrative of a cult leader's son transported to a world where deities have lost their power.

Issue 12 serves as a pivotal installment in the series, reflecting the darker turn of the narrative as the protagonist Yukito continues his efforts to manipulate the divine hierarchy. The artwork by Hangetsuban Sonshō is noted for its high-contrast style and sharp character designs, which lean into the ironic and irreverent tone established by Akashiro’s script. It was met with modest interest, eventually prompting an anime adaptation that brought further attention to the source material.
