Kekkon Shimashō, Koisuru Mae ni #2

Kekkon Shimashō, Koisuru Mae ni, translated as Let's Get Married Before We Fall in Love, is a shojo manga series created by mangaka Haruka Fukushima. Published during a prolific period for Fukushima in the early 2000s, the series fits within the traditional framework of Japanese romance storytelling, focusing on the idealized yet turbulent emotional journeys of young protagonists navigating early romantic commitments. The second volume continues the narrative established in the debut, exploring the author's signature style characterized by delicate character designs and emotive, soft-line illustrations that were hallmark features of the shojo aesthetic at the time.

The series was released under the Nakayoshi label by Kodansha, catering to a demographic of adolescent readers. Like much of Fukushima's work from this era, it gained a dedicated following through serialization in prominent magazines before being compiled into tankobon volumes. The design of these volumes prioritizes a whimsical, approachable cover aesthetic that reflects the lighthearted and often dramatic themes of the plot, which was received by readers as a quintessential example of the genre's focus on school-age romance and personal growth.
