K.I.P. Knowledge Is Power #3

Knowledge Is Power (K.I.P.) emerged during the late 1980s as an educational comic book series designed to distill complex social and health-related topics for younger readers. The third issue was crafted to serve as an accessible resource, utilizing the visual language of the medium to communicate lessons that were otherwise difficult for traditional classrooms to convey. Its creation reflects a broader era of public service advocacy in pop culture, where publishers collaborated with educators and health experts to package serious guidance within the familiar format of heroic storytelling.

The design of the series relied on clean, punchy layouts and straightforward character archetypes to ensure that the educational messaging remained the primary focus. Artists associated with the project were tasked with prioritizing clarity over stylistic excess, aiming for a look that felt modern and urgent rather than antiquated. Upon its release, the issue was largely recognized for its straightforward pedagogical intent, finding its way into community centers and libraries as a functional tool rather than a collector's commodity.
