Kuzu to Kemomimi #2

Kuzu to Kemomimi is a self-published doujinshi series that emerged from the vibrant independent manga culture prevalent at Japanese fan conventions. The series was created to explore specific character archetypes, blending human and animal features—known as kemomimi—with themes of social alienation and domestic friction. These works typically function as niche creative outlets for artists to experiment with visual storytelling outside the constraints of mainstream publishing houses.

The second issue of the series continues the stylistic trajectory established in the debut, focusing on character-driven vignettes rather than complex overarching plots. The illustrations are crafted with a focus on emotive facial expressions and detailed line work, characteristic of the underground doujinshi scene where artists aim to build a dedicated readership through recurring motifs and consistent aesthetic refinement.
