Kyō Kara Hajimeru Osananajimi #7

Kyō Kara Hajimeru Osananajimi, written and illustrated by Mao Nitō, began its serialization in 2020 within the pages of Square Enix's Manga Up! platform. The series explores the tropes of the childhood friend archetype in romantic comedy, centered on the evolving dynamic between characters who have known each other since youth but are only recently navigating the complexities of a burgeoning relationship. The seventh volume continues this established narrative trajectory, maintaining the series' focus on lighthearted, character-driven interactions.

The visual identity of the series is characterized by a clean, modern aesthetic typical of contemporary shōnen and seinen romantic comedies, with Nitō utilizing expressive character designs to emphasize the emotional beats of the plot. Upon its release, the series found a dedicated audience among readers of digital-first manga, praised for its accessible tone and consistent art style. The seventh volume serves as a standard continuation of this successful formula, reflecting the ongoing editorial standards maintained by Square Enix for their digital romance catalog.
