La Zorra y el Cuervo #74

La Zorra y el Cuervo was a prominent Cuban comic series that debuted in the 1960s, heavily influenced by the classic fables of Aesop and La Fontaine. Published by the Editorial Juvenil and later associated with the magazine Pionero, the series utilized the anthropomorphic characters of the fox and the crow to deliver moralistic tales and social commentary tailored for young readers. It became a staple of Cuban popular culture, blending traditional storytelling with a distinct artistic style characterized by expressive, mid-century graphic layouts.

The character designs were shaped by a rotating team of Cuban illustrators who sought to modernize classic European fables for a local audience. Issue 74, like its contemporaries in the long-running series, focused on episodic narratives that relied on humor and wit. The series was well-received for its longevity and accessibility, eventually securing its place as an iconic piece of Cuban illustrated literature that mirrored the shifting educational and cultural priorities of the era.
