Le Livre des Multivers - Superstring #1

Le Livre des Multivers: Superstring #1 emerged from the vibrant landscape of contemporary French independent comics, serving as the inaugural entry in an ambitious anthology series dedicated to speculative fiction and cosmology. Created during a period of renewed interest in avant-garde graphic storytelling, the work was designed to bridge the gap between hard science fiction and abstract, painterly illustration, prioritizing atmospheric world-building over traditional narrative structures.

The series was conceived by a collective of artists aiming to explore the infinite permutations of alternate realities through a distinctively European aesthetic lens. The inaugural issue was noted for its experimental layout and focus on visual texture, which garnered positive attention within specialized art-comics circles for its departure from mainstream superhero tropes. It is regarded by collectors of modern indie imprints as a significant early effort to standardize the 'multiverse' concept within the framework of European alternative comics.
