Los Pecados de la Familia Ichinose #1

Los Pecados de la Familia Ichinose, or The Ichinose Family's Deadly Sins, debuted in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in November 2022. The series was created by Taizan 5, known for their unique approach to psychological drama and subversion of standard domestic tropes. The narrative follows a family suffering from collective amnesia after a tragic accident, forcing them to piece together their pasts and uncover the dark secrets that define their relationships. This debut issue introduces the mystery-heavy premise that quickly garnered attention for its unsettling tone and unconventional storytelling.

Taizan 5 utilized a sharp, emotive art style to convey the characters' internal struggles and the shifting reality of their household. The series was met with critical interest for its high-concept exploration of trauma and identity, distinct from the typical shonen fare. While the manga engages with dark, mature themes, the visual design remains rooted in the accessible aesthetic of contemporary seinen and shonen psychological thrillers, aiming to keep readers off-balance as the family dynamic unravels.
