Lustiges Taschenbuch Phantomias Collection #2

The Lustiges Taschenbuch Phantomias Collection is a German-language anthology series published by Egmont Ehapa Media, focusing on the superhero alter ego of Donald Duck, known as Phantomias. This particular issue, the second in the collection, was released to compile classic stories that define the character's transition from an anonymous vigilante to a more traditional superhero figure. The series serves as a specialized archival project for fans of the Italian Disney comic tradition, providing a dedicated format for the darker, more atmospheric adventures that characterized the early Phantomias run.

The design of the volume adheres to the standardized, compact 'pocket book' aesthetic that has defined the Lustiges Taschenbuch brand since its inception in 1967. The artwork features a mix of seminal stories created by Italian masters such as Guido Martina and Giovan Battista Carpi, who were instrumental in developing the character's complex duality. These compilations are typically received by collectors as essential reference material, appreciated for preserving the stylistic evolution of Disney comics in Europe while maintaining a uniform look suitable for long-term shelf display.
