Malcolm Max #7

Malcolm Max is a steampunk detective comic series created by writer Peter Mennigen and artist Ingo Römling. The series was originally produced for the German market, with the narrative centered on the titular protagonist, a Victorian-era investigator tasked with solving supernatural crimes in a stylized version of 19th-century London. The aesthetic combines traditional noir tropes with intricate mechanical flourishes, reflecting Römling's background in illustration and character design.

Issue #7 continues the established tone of the series, balancing pulp adventure with dark fantasy elements. As an installment in a niche independent comic cycle, the design focuses on atmospheric storytelling and consistent world-building. Upon its release, the series garnered attention for its polished visual style and its ability to blend historical fiction with speculative technology, securing a dedicated following within the European comic scene.
