Maldad Eterna: Arkham en Guerra #1

Maldad Eterna: Arkham en Guerra #1, released in 2013, emerged as a tie-in miniseries to DC Comics' major crossover event Forever Evil. The narrative was conceived to explore the state of Gotham City’s criminal population following the disappearance of the Justice League and the subsequent breakdown of order. It specifically focuses on the power vacuum created at Arkham Asylum and the ensuing turf war among Gotham's most notorious villains.

The issue was written by Peter Tomasi and illustrated by Scot Eaton, who sought to capture the gritty, chaotic aesthetic of a city without its traditional protectors. The design and tonal direction were aimed at high-stakes tactical combat, moving away from the typical hero-centric narrative to emphasize the desperation and shifting alliances of the incarcerated rogues. Upon its release, it was noted for its role in expanding the reach of the Forever Evil storyline into the specific lore of Batman's gallery of enemies.
