Maō Tōbatsu Shita Ato, Medachitakunai node Guild Master ni Natta #2

Maō Tōbatsu Shita Ato, Medachitakunai node Guild Master ni Natta, or 'After Defeating the Demon King, I Became a Guild Master Because I Wanted to Avoid the Spotlight,' is a light novel series authored by Nazuna Miki. The second volume, published by Kadokawa under their Sneaker Bunko imprint, follows the protagonist's transition from a hero of legend to a quiet administrator. This light novel trend emerged from the popular 'isekai' or 'reincarnation' subgenre, specifically focusing on the post-adventure narrative arc where the primary conflict has already concluded.

The illustrations for the series were provided by Subachoco, whose character designs emphasize a soft, clean aesthetic intended to contrast the protagonist's high-level combat background with his mundane new role. The volume was received by readers as a character-driven comedy, often praised for its shift away from grand-scale fantasy tropes toward lighthearted workplace dynamics and character-focused humor, establishing it as a mainstay of the late 2010s Japanese light novel market.
