Marc Spector: Moon Knight #30

Marc Spector: Moon Knight #30 was published in October 1991 as part of an ongoing series centered on the vigilante Marc Spector. This era of the character's publication history reflected the grittier, darker tone prevalent in early 1990s Marvel Comics, following the title's shift from a limited series to a sustained monthly run. The narrative during this period frequently explored the complex interplay between Spector's fractured mental state and his nocturnal activities in New York City.

The issue features cover art by Sal Velluto, whose work on the series is often noted for defining the visual aesthetic of the character during this decade. Velluto’s design approach focused on emphasizing Moon Knight’s distinctive silhouette and tactile, textured costume, moving away from more minimalist depictions to provide a more detailed, illustrative look. The title was generally received by contemporary readers as a solid entry in the publisher's darker street-level superhero catalog, maintaining a consistent following among fans of the character's internal psychological drama.
