Marc Spector: Moon Knight #7

Marc Spector: Moon Knight #7 was published in 1989 as part of Marvel Comics' ongoing series centered on the titular vigilante. The issue was written by Chuck Dixon, with artwork provided by Sal Velluto, whose clean, illustrative style helped define the aesthetic of this iteration of the character during the late eighties. The series was designed to modernize the supernatural and noir elements of Moon Knight, placing him in more grounded, urban settings while exploring the complexities of his dissociative identity disorder.

The creative direction for this series sought to distance Moon Knight from his past portrayals, leaning heavily into his role as a tactical, street-level hero. Sal Velluto's design approach focused on dynamic silhouettes and architectural backgrounds, which complemented the gritty atmosphere Dixon established in his scripts. The issue was received by readers as a steady entry in the series, appreciated for its consistent character development and its role in solidifying Moon Knight's status as a distinct, compelling figure within the wider Marvel Universe.
