Marvel Team-Up #93

Marvel Team-Up #93 was published in May 1980 during the Bronze Age of comic books, a period characterized by increasingly complex character interactions and experimental team-ups. The issue was part of a long-running series designed to pair Marvel’s premier headliner, Spider-Man, with various other heroes to boost their visibility or explore unique narrative pairings. This particular edition features Spider-Man alongside Luke Cage, Power Man, reflecting the publisher's strategy of bridging the gap between street-level urban crime stories and traditional superhero tropes.

The issue was written by Steven Grant with artwork provided by penciler Marie Severin, a legendary figure at Marvel known for her distinct, expressive style and versatile technical skill. Severin’s contribution to this era of Marvel Team-Up is often praised for bringing a human element to the characters during a time when the series was focused on balancing diverse tone shifts. It was received by readers as a reliable entry in the series, maintaining the established tradition of functional, character-driven storytelling that defined the publication's tenure.
