Where it came from
My Death Flags Show No Sign of Ending, authored by Ichinose Kannagi and illustrated by Junichi-san, originated as a serialized web novel before being adapted into a light novel series. Volume 3 continues the narrative of Harold Stokes, who finds himself reincarnated into a role-playing game as a widely detested antagonist destined for a gruesome end. The series explores the protagonist's desperate attempts to alter his fate through meta-knowledge of the game's mechanics.
The character design and illustrations by Junichi-san emphasize the contrast between Harold's internal anxiety and the intimidating, villainous persona he must maintain to survive the plot. Published by Ichijinsha under their Iris NEO label, the series gained popularity for its subversion of the typical isekai reincarnation trope, focusing on the protagonist's tactical efforts to navigate lethal scenarios rather than simple wish fulfillment.
