Nakke Nakuttaja #195612

Nakke Nakuttaja, the Finnish localized title for Woody Woodpecker, gained a dedicated following through comic books published by Williams Förlags AB during the mid-twentieth century. The 195612 issue serves as a snapshot of the era's transition in international comic distribution, where American animation properties were translated and repackaged for Nordic audiences to capitalize on the character's rising popularity in cinema shorts.

The interior artwork follows the established slapstick visual language of Walter Lantz Productions, focusing on high-energy gags and rapid-fire visual humor. While the specific illustrators for this international edition were often credited to studio artists working under the Lantz banner, the design aesthetic was meticulously curated to retain the manic charm of the original animation, ensuring the character remained instantly recognizable to children who had seen his theatrical appearances.
