Nakke Nakuttaja #195613

Nakke Nakuttaja, known internationally as Woody Woodpecker, made his debut in the Finnish market during the mid-20th century as part of a wave of American animated characters adapted into local comic books. The issue labeled 195613 reflects the production numbering style of the era, where the digits often designated the year and month of publication, placing this particular volume within the robust mid-1950s output of Kustannusosakeyhtiö Sarjakuvat.

The character was created by Walter Lantz and quickly became a staple of transatlantic cultural export. The Finnish editions were crafted to mirror the slapstick, high-energy aesthetic of the original theatrical shorts, utilizing a combination of reprinted American strips and localized editorial work. These issues were designed to appeal to younger readers through vivid, simplified line art and humor that transcended linguistic barriers, helping solidify the character's legacy in Nordic popular culture.
