Naru-Thunder #1

Naru-Thunder #1 emerged during the late 20th-century surge of independent comics, a period defined by creators seeking autonomy from the major industry giants. The series was conceptualized to blend high-octane action with traditional folklore influences, aiming to capture the imagination of readers who were looking for a fresh, distinct visual narrative style in a crowded market.

The character design and internal illustrations were crafted to prioritize dynamic movement, reflecting an era where stylized, kinetic art was becoming the gold standard for independent titles. While the series reached a dedicated niche audience upon its release, it is often studied today as a testament to the ambitious efforts of small-press creators to establish unique intellectual properties in the competitive comic landscape of its time.
