Ninko-chan wa Ochikazuki ni Naritai #1

Ninko-chan wa Ochikazuki ni Naritai, authored by the creator known as Umi-neko, emerged within the landscape of contemporary Japanese web-manga culture. The series focuses on the humorous and often surreal social interactions of the title character, Ninko-chan, and reflects the trend of character-driven gag manga that found significant traction through online serialization platforms before receiving a physical print release.

The visual design of the first volume highlights the author's minimalist and expressive art style, which emphasizes comedic timing and character reactions. By focusing on the protagonist's persistent and awkward attempts at forming connections, the work resonates with readers who enjoy slice-of-life comedy. Upon its physical debut, the volume was received as a charming addition to the niche genre of web-to-print manga, praised for its lighthearted tone and distinct personality.
