Nth Man the Ultimate Ninja #8

Nth Man the Ultimate Ninja #8 was published by Marvel Comics in 1990 as part of a short-lived series written by Larry Hama and illustrated by Ron Wagner. The title emerged during a period when Western comic books were increasingly influenced by the popularity of martial arts cinema and ninja subculture, positioning the protagonist, John Doe, as a reality-warping operative involved in global espionage and metaphysical conflict.

The series was noted for its unconventional narrative structure and Hama's signature military-industrial themes, which he also explored in his work on G.I. Joe. While the series did not achieve lasting mainstream longevity, it is remembered by collectors for its gritty aesthetic and the distinct visual style Ron Wagner brought to the action sequences, reflecting the era's experimentation with darker, more cerebral superhero storytelling.
