Nyoka the Jungle Girl #76

Nyoka the Jungle Girl #76 was published by Charlton Comics in 1965 as part of a long-running series that began in the 1940s. The character originated in the 1941 film serial Jungle Girl and successfully transitioned to comic books due to the immense popularity of adventure-themed pulp heroines during the mid-twentieth century. By the time this issue was released, the title had moved to Charlton, which was known for its diverse and often prolific output of genre fiction.

The art and editorial direction of this period reflected a transitional era for adventure comics, moving away from the golden age sensibilities toward a more streamlined aesthetic. While specific creative credits for individual issues during this phase of Charlton's tenure are often difficult to attribute definitively, the series maintained its focus on episodic, action-oriented storytelling. The character remained a staple for collectors interested in the evolution of jungle adventure tropes and the distinct visual style of the 1960s comic book industry.
