O Vagabundo dos Limbos #12

O Vagabundo dos Limbos, known internationally as Aquablue, is a long-running French science fiction comic series created by writer Thierry Cailleteau and illustrator Olivier Vatine. First appearing in the late 1980s, the series was conceived as an ecological space opera that explores the themes of colonialism, environmental preservation, and the clash between advanced technology and indigenous spirituality. The narrative centers on Nao, a human orphan raised by an amphibious alien race on the water world of Aquablue.

Issue number 12, titled 'Le Sanctuaire', represents the later stages of the series as the story arcs expanded under the guidance of subsequent artists after Vatine's departure. This specific chapter continues the detailed, painterly aesthetic that became a hallmark of the series, reflecting the transition toward more complex, serialized storytelling within the Franco-Belgian comics tradition. It was well-received by fans for maintaining the high visual standards of the sci-fi genre while deepening the socio-political commentary established in the earlier volumes.
