O Vagabundo dos Limbos #13

O Vagabundo dos Limbos, known internationally as Le Vagabond des Limbes, is a seminal French science fiction comic series created by writer Christian Godard and artist Julio Ribera. The series debuted in 1975, emerging during a period when European science fiction comics were expanding into more philosophical and surreal territories. The thirteenth volume, titled 'Le Dossier Cayenne', continues the chronicles of Axle Munshine and his companion Musky, who navigate a shifting, ethereal universe in search of a lost love, reflecting the creators' commitment to blending space opera aesthetics with poignant, often existential human themes.

Julio Ribera’s illustrative style for the series is celebrated for its intricate detail and the atmospheric fluidity with which he depicts the 'Limbo' dimensions. By the time the thirteenth issue was released, the creative duo had solidified the series as a staple of European bandes dessinées. The work was generally well-received for its longevity and its refusal to rely solely on action tropes, instead favoring a melancholic, wandering narrative structure that remained a hallmark of Godard’s writing throughout the duo's decades-long collaboration.
