Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint #1

Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint began as a web novel written by the duo known as Sing-Shong, serialized on the platform Munpia starting in 2018. The story, which follows protagonist Kim Dokja as he navigates the apocalypse unfolding according to a web novel he has finished reading, quickly gained a massive following for its meta-narrative structure and deconstruction of web novel tropes. Its immense popularity led to a webtoon adaptation, which served as the basis for this inaugural issue.

The visual adaptation was produced by Redice Studio, the same team behind other major webtoon hits like Solo Leveling. The character designs and kinetic art style were crafted to capture the grim, high-stakes aesthetic of the original prose while ensuring the complex system of 'scenarios' and 'constellations' remained legible to a visual audience. Upon its release, the adaptation was highly praised for its faithful characterization and dynamic pacing, solidifying its place as a centerpiece of the modern South Korean webtoon industry.
