Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint #3

Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint, serialized initially as a web novel by the author Sing Shong in 2018, follows the protagonist Kim Dokja as he navigates a world suddenly governed by the rules of a web novel he spent years reading. The story explores themes of narrative agency and the relationship between creator and reader. Its transition into a manhwa format was facilitated by the studio REDICE, which adapted Sing Shong’s prose into a visual medium, maintaining the original's grim, high-stakes atmosphere while introducing a distinct character design aesthetic that emphasizes the contrast between mundane reality and the apocalyptic scenarios the characters face.

The physical issue #3 represents a portion of the ongoing efforts to collect these digital chapters into printed volumes for fans. The design of these volumes typically aims to replicate the tension of the original digital releases, featuring cover art that highlights the series' central figures—specifically Kim Dokja and his companion Yoo Joonghyuk. The adaptation has received significant acclaim for its high production quality and fidelity to the complex world-building of the source material, becoming a cornerstone of contemporary South Korean webtoon culture and gaining a dedicated international following.
