Ore no Kasu Mitai na Jinsei wa Zenbu Tanuki no Sei #1

Ore no Kasu Mitai na Jinsei wa Zenbu Tanuki no Sei, or My Trashy Life Is All the Tanuki's Fault, debuted as a niche comedy manga title focusing on surrealist humor and the protagonist's recurring misfortune. Created by the artist known as Piyo, the series emerged from the dense, idiosyncratic landscape of independent Japanese digital comics, specifically targeting audiences who gravitate toward absurd, self-deprecating narratives about characters struggling with mundane life through supernatural intervention.

The character design reflects the broader aesthetic common in contemporary web-based gag manga, emphasizing loose, expressive linework that highlights the protagonist's exaggerated emotional states. The series is received primarily within subcultures that appreciate dry, rapid-fire humor, and while it remains a cult item rather than a mainstream phenomenon, the physical printings are sought after by collectors of underground titles who value the distinct, offbeat storytelling style favored by Piyo.
