Ore no Kasu Mitai na Jinsei wa Zenbu Tanuki no Sei #2

Ore no Kasu Mitai na Jinsei wa Zenbu Tanuki no Sei, or My Trashy Life Is All the Tanuki's Fault, is an unconventional series that emerged from the independent manga scene, often categorized under the dōjinshi or self-published niche. The series serves as a meta-narrative exploration of the creator's personal struggles, using the mythical tanuki—a creature in Japanese folklore known for mischief and transformation—as a metaphorical catalyst for the protagonist's recurring misfortune and self-deprecating humor.

The second issue continues the series' signature blend of surrealism and autobiographical malaise. The illustrative style is intentionally raw and unpolished, reflecting the creator's desire to capture a sense of immediate, unvarnished honesty rather than technical perfection. Upon its release, the work found a specific audience among readers who appreciate experimental storytelling and the subversion of standard manga tropes, functioning more as a thematic diary than a traditional commercial product.
