Overlord: Fushisha no Oh! #15

Overlord: Fushisha no Oh! is the manga adaptation of Kugane Maruyama’s popular light novel series, which centers on a salaryman who becomes trapped in a virtual reality game as his powerful avatar, Ainz Ooal Gown. The series, illustrated by Hugin Miyama, was developed to bring the dark fantasy world of the Great Tomb of Nazarick to a visual medium, focusing on meticulous character designs and the grand scale of its gothic world-building. Issue 15 serves as a segment within the broader serialization published in Comp Ace, contributing to the adaptation's ongoing effort to capture the intricate narrative arcs of the original novels.

The reception of this manga series has been largely defined by its ability to translate Maruyama’s dense world-building and complex moral ambiguity into a cohesive visual format. Hugin Miyama’s art style is noted for its high-contrast aesthetic and attention to the ornate armor and monstrous features of the cast, which has helped sustain the series’ popularity among fans of the isekai genre. As a late-stage issue in the series, number 15 continues this established stylistic trajectory, maintaining the tone that has made the adaptation a staple of contemporary dark fantasy manga.
