Planet Atmos: Exordium #3

Planet Atmos: Exordium #3 was published during the mid-2010s as part of an independent science fiction anthology series that sought to revitalize planetary romance tropes. The series was developed as a creative response to the perceived stagnation of space-faring narratives, opting for a stylized, saturated aesthetic that drew heavy inspiration from mid-century pulp magazine illustrations. The publishers aimed to balance high-concept world-building with an intimate focus on character-driven political intrigue within the fictional Atmos system.

The visual identity of this issue was helmed by a small team of collaborative artists who favored hand-inked line work over digital gradients to evoke a tactile, vintage quality. It was met with modest but dedicated critical reception, particularly praised for its cohesive visual language and the intricate architectural designs of the featured alien landscapes. While it remains a niche entry in the landscape of independent comics, it is frequently cited by collectors for its consistent aesthetic commitment and the unique production paper stock chosen by the editorial team.
