Where it came from
Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san, created by Naru Narumi, debuted in 2013 as a culinary manga series centered on a mysterious, ramen-obsessed high school student named Koizumi. The series gained significant traction by focusing on the authentic culture and specific regional variations of ramen shops throughout Japan, effectively serving as both a narrative work and a guide to real-world dining establishments.
Issue #15 represents a continuation of this long-running series, which has been serialized in Manga Life Storia and later transitioned to digital platforms. The design and artistic direction by Narumi prioritize detailed, appetizing illustrations of noodle bowls, capturing the sensory experience of ramen consumption. The work has been well-received for its niche appeal, leading to a live-action television drama adaptation and a dedicated following among food enthusiasts and manga readers alike.
