Richie Rich & Casper #39

Richie Rich & Casper #39 was published by Harvey Comics during the peak of the company's dominance in the children's comic market in the 1970s. This crossover series brought together Harvey's two most recognizable properties: the wealthy, benevolent Richie Rich and the friendly ghost, Casper. The publication served as a commercial staple for the company, capitalizing on the popularity of both characters to drive newsstand sales among young readers who were drawn to the bright, wholesome aesthetic and the lighthearted supernatural antics.

The visual identity of this issue follows the established Harvey house style, characterized by clean lines and an accessible, cartoony design language intended to appeal to a broad, youthful demographic. While the stories were generally produced by a rotating team of staff writers and artists rather than credited auteurs, the work remains representative of the mid-century corporate comic machine. The series is remembered today as a quintessential artifact of its era, capturing the optimistic and uncomplicated spirit of the long-running Harvey Comics library.
