Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan - Hokkaido-Hen #10

Rurouni Kenshin: Hokkaido-Hen, or the Hokkaido Arc, is a direct continuation of Nobuhiro Watsuki’s seminal 1990s manga series. Debuting in Jump Square in 2017, this sequel arc follows Kenshin Himura and his allies as they travel to Hokkaido to confront new threats while further developing the characters who concluded the original narrative. The series maintains the stylistic action and historical grounding of its predecessor, reflecting Watsuki's desire to revisit and expand upon the legacy of the Meiji-era swordsman.

Issue #10 serves as a pivotal installment in the ongoing saga, continuing the meticulous art style and thematic focus on redemption and survival that defined the original run. As with the rest of the Hokkaido Arc, the production remains closely tied to Shueisha’s editorial standards for the Jump Square anthology. The design and narrative progression in this volume reflect the matured sensibilities of the author, balancing high-stakes duels with the shifting political landscape of Japan's Hokkaido frontier.
