Where it came from
Saigo ni Hitotsu Dake Onegai Shite mo Yoroshii Deshou ka, known in English as May I Ask for One Final Thing?, originated as a web novel series by Suki Nanoka before being adapted into a manga illustrated by Sora Hoonoki. The story follows the fierce protagonist Scarlett El Vandimion, who, upon being falsely accused and having her engagement annulled, decides to use her final moments of nobility to settle scores with those who wronged her through physical confrontation.
The manga serialization began in 2018 under Ichijinsha's Zero-Sum Comics label. It is celebrated for subverting the tropes of the villainess genre by replacing political maneuvering with blunt, decisive action. The artwork is characterized by dynamic character designs and expressive depictions of Scarlett's explosive personality, which have resonated with readers seeking a high-energy departure from traditional romance-focused fantasy narratives.
