Secret Society of Super-Villains #6

Secret Society of Super-Villains #6 was published in early 1977 as part of a short-lived DC Comics series that attempted to center the narrative on the antagonists rather than the traditional heroes. The series emerged during a period of experimentation at DC, as writers sought to explore more complex moral dynamics by grouping established rogues together in a team-based format. This particular issue continues the overarching plotlines involving the group's internal power struggles and their uneasy alliances.

The issue features the creative work of writer Gerry Conway and artist Ric Estrada, who were tasked with balancing the disparate personalities of characters like Captain Cold and Gorilla Grodd. The series was designed to provide readers with a darker, more cynical perspective on the DC Universe, though it faced challenges in sustaining long-term readership. While the title was eventually canceled after only a handful of issues, it remains a notable curiosity for collectors of 1970s comic book history due to its subversive premise.
