Seibetsu Fumei na Koroshiya-san ga Kawaisugiru. #2

Seibetsu Fumei na Koroshiya-san ga Kawaisugiru., or The Genderless Hitman Is Too Cute, began as a digital manga series by the creator known as Shigure. The work emerged from the popular web-comic trend in Japan where high-concept premises—in this case, a professional assassin whose gender remains an intentional mystery—are paired with comedic and heartwarming slice-of-life interactions. The series was designed to play with audience expectations regarding character tropes, utilizing a clean, expressive art style that highlights the protagonist's ambiguous appearance.

The second volume continues the series' exploration of the titular character's daily life, focusing on the charm of their gender-neutral aesthetic and their interactions with those around them. Upon its release, the volume was well-received by readers who appreciated the shift from traditional action-heavy hitman narratives toward a more character-focused, whimsical tone. The publication solidified the series' place in the 'gap moe' genre, where the juxtaposition between the character's lethal profession and their endearing, soft-spoken nature serves as the primary hook for its dedicated fanbase.
