Sengoku Komachi Kurōtan #16

Sengoku Komachi Kurōtan, an isekai historical manga series written by Kyōichi and illustrated by Bekkō Edo, began serialization in 2017. The series follows Shizu, a modern agricultural high school student transported to the Sengoku period, where she applies her knowledge of farming and technology to aid the warlord Oda Nobunaga. Volume 16 continues the core narrative arc, maintaining the series' balance of historical fiction, tactical management, and cultural exchange.

The character designs by Bekkō Edo are noted for their clean, expressive aesthetic, which effectively bridges the gap between traditional period costuming and contemporary manga sensibilities. The series has been well-regarded for its meticulous attention to agricultural detail, a thematic focus that distinguishes it within the crowded isekai genre. Readers generally receive the volumes positively for the pacing of Shizu's administrative challenges and the character-driven development of historical figures.
