Sengoku Komachi Kurōtan #20

Sengoku Komachi Kurōtan, or 'Sengoku Komachi: Chronicles of a Farming Girl,' began as a light novel series written by Kyōichirō Hizuki and illustrated by Parsley. The series centers on Shizu, a modern-day agricultural high school student who is transported to the Sengoku period. By applying her knowledge of farming techniques and modern technology to a feudal setting, she becomes a key advisor to the warlord Oda Nobunaga. The narrative highlights the intersection of historical warfare and domestic development, positioning the protagonist's specialized skills as a catalyst for socio-economic change within the era.

The manga adaptation, which includes the twentieth volume, features art by Warau Yakan. This iteration of the series maintains the light novel's commitment to detailed depictions of historical period agriculture and the strategic implementation of resource management. The manga has been well-regarded for its steady pacing and character design, effectively visualizing the juxtaposition of Shizu’s contemporary perspective against the rugged backdrop of 16th-century Japan. The twentieth volume continues the overarching story arc, reflecting the series' sustained focus on the development of the Oda clan's territories.
